Episode 10: "I think it was Kant."

Originally released on tumblr on August 18, 2014. Sorry for the week break! Daniel was jet-lagged and Killian was having some major sleep problems that made her sound drunk in a super non-entertaining way.

In this episode, we’re joined again by friend and philosopher Nick Beckstead. We talk about the Enlightenment. We ask deep questions, like: at what point do you get to call something “The Enlightenment”—and when do you get to call a span of 200 years a “movement”?? Also, if you lived in Ancient Egypt, and you believed that if you did not do X then the sun wouldn’t rise the next day, would you actually want to be the first guy to empirically test whether or not it was true? Yikes. Pressure.
